The Law of Attraction — Are you attracting your heart’s desires or detracting your heart’s desires?
The answer is easy. What is currently in your life right now, in this moment, is what you have “attracted“. So the question should be, “Are you happy with what you have attracted?
I know for me, when I started learning about the laws of attraction, I didn’t quite get it because there were numerous things in my life that I know I would never consciously choose.
How about you? Aren’t there at least a few things in your life right now that you know you would never say, “This is what I want”? (me too)
Which leads us back to the Laws of Attraction…
So what is the Law of Attraction and how does it work?
I’ve done a lot of studying on the laws of attraction and here are just of few concepts I’ve learned:
- What we think about we bring about (often what we are “worrying” or “complaining” about are actually the things we are “attracting”.)
- Our predominant thoughts create. There are no neutral thoughts. Many of our thoughts are on “automatic pilot” so to consciously create what you want in your life through the laws of attraction means to work on “consciously” gaining control over your dominant thoughts.
- We each vibrate at a certain energy level. So the higher your thoughts, the higher your vibration. (I’ll talk more about this concept later in another blog about the book “Power vs. Force” by David Hawkins — which I highly recommend by the way.)
There is so much more I can say about the Laws of Attraction, but I wanted to introduce this idea to my readers to open up the conversation about the Laws of Attraction. It is a powerful force that is either working for you or against you. It works whether we are conscious of it or not.
If you’re interested in working on attracting more of what you want in your life…and less of what you don’t want…
I’ve broken down the Laws of Attraction into a few steps you can use to begin to implement in your life:
Step 1: Fine tune your desires. Once you know in specifics what it is you want in your life, give attention to those desires. (This actually takes a lot of time to do. It sounds “easy” here, but it requires you to really take stock of your life and search your heart and get specific about what you want. Very specific).
Step 2: Feel your Desires. Focus on the feelings of having your desires come to fruition. When you focus on the “absence” of those desires, you attract the “absence of those desires.” For example, if I focus on the absence of a relationship, that is what I am attracting. Instead I would focus my attention and feelings on having a positive, healthy relationship.
**Answering: There has to be a vibrational match. You have to hold yourself in vibrational harmony with your desires. You do this by imagining having those desires fulfilled and by enjoying the experience of it.
Step 3: Gratitude. The more gratitude we have for what is already in our lives, we will attract more of the same and often, better. Don’t focus on what’s missing in your life, focus on what is great about your life.
Step 4: Giving. What you are lacking is what you are not giving. Giving opens up the blocked faucet and starts the flow of giving and receiving. I jokingly tell all my students, “Never turn down a gift. Especially money and chocolate.” Many times women turn down gifts or acts of kindness. From here on out, I want you to accept all gifts. If you can’t use the gift, give it to someone who can. Keep the flow going; don’t block it.
So I’d love to hear from you about how the Laws of Attraction are working or not working in your life? Let’s talk about it!
