Making Money With Affiliate Programs Can Be a Great Way to Start Earning Income Online
Imagine what it would be like to have your own business that you run from the comfort of your home, work in your pajamas and you simply write about topics that you are passionate about and recommend other people’s products and you make money!
That’s what affiliate marketing is all about.
Of course, there are a few different ways to become an affiliate marketer, but the easiest way to do it is simply to start a blog about a subject you are passionate about and recommend “affiliate” products and services.
Affiliate marketing at its very core is about relationships, a relationship between 3 parties:
- The Advertiser (the person who has the product or service to sell);
- The Affiliate/Promoter (the person who is going to help spread the word about the advertisers products and/or services);
- The Consumer (the person who purchases the product or service);
You can become an affiliate for an advertiser with or without your own website/blog. Let’s say you wanted to recommend a travel deal to your friends. So you sign up as an affiliate for the advertiser, you get your special affiliate link that is coded to you, and you send an email sharing the information with your family and friends. If any of them click the link and make a purchase, then you made affiliate income!
If you want to increase your income and do this for a living, then you would want to start a website/blog so that you could promote all kinds of affiliate products and services and make money. Finding good affiliate products that are related to your topic is tricky. There are thousands of affiliate products that you can find to promote on sites like Clickbank, Commission Junction, and Amazon.
The problem is there is a lot of “junk” out there. You want to promote products and services that are high quality and related to your topic. That’s why I love Rosalind Gardner’s program because she walks you through finding quality products and services to promote and what to look for. It’s also very affordable.
One thing I’ve learned over the years, is to simply have a mentor to shorten the learning curve.
