Learn How to Make Money with Affiliate Marketing and Grow Your Business Exponentially!

Would you like to earn money just by putting up a special link on your website or in your online newsletter so that when someone clicks on that link, you made money?

That’s the “simple” explanation of what Affiliate Marketing is all about.

Here’s a more detailed explanation of how to make money with Affiliate Marketing…

Let’s say you are an Interior Decorator and you have a beautiful website with lots of amazing pictures of your work.  People come to your website and they admire your talent and maybe some of them hire you to decorate their homes.  You make a decent living trading hours for dollars, but you are actually leaving money on the table if that’s all your doing with your website.

If I was an Interior Decorator…the first thing I would do is sign up as an “affiliate” with a company like www.blinds.com.  An affiliate is basically someone who signs up or applies to become an affiliate of a specific company and gets a special link “coded” to them. They can then share that link with others through their website, list, blog,  newsletter, online advertising channels, etc. so that when people click on their specially “coded” affiliate link, they make an “affiliate commission”!

Commissions are often a percentage of the sale, however they can also be a fixed amount per conversion.  At blinds.com they pay a percentage of the total sale!

So as an Interior Decorator they often help the homeowner select window treatments for their home.  By having their clients and any website visitors click on their affiliate link, they are now earning “passive income” without having to do any extra work!

I would write a special blog post on my Interior Decorating website and put photos of window treatments and give some advice on selecting the right window treatments for your home and I would include my “affiliate link” from blinds.com throughout that blog post.

Now the Interior Decorator is “leveraging” the power of their website with a product that is complimentary to their service.

So if you are an online business owner or you are thinking of starting a blog or a website, you want to have a specific strategy for creating online passive income with your blog/website.

Many business owners have a great website with lots of visitors on the site, but they are missing out on creating online streams of passive income!

Darren Rowse, the owner of this blog writes articles and does product reviews about various cameras and when people click on his “affiliate links”, he makes money!  He is obviously an affiliate for different companies and he uses his affiliate links in a variety of ways on his blog and earns 6-figures doing so!

The most important part of affiliate marketing to me is to become an affiliate for products and services that are related to what your website and/or blog is about.  For example, you wouldn’t want to see affiliate links and promotions for blinds.com on an Internet Marketing website.
