How to Become an Online Entrepreneur for Beginners!

The best way to become an online entrepreneur is to start NOW!  With any new venture, there is always a learning curve, so the sooner you start, the sooner you can start reaping the benefits!  There are monetary benefits to becoming an online entrepreneur of course, but there are also a lot of non-monetary benefits such as:

• Helping Others;
• Feeling Fulfilled;
• Expressing Yourself;
• Being Creative;
• Owning your time;
• Controlling your destiny;

I started my online business over 10 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did for myself.  I left a 17-year career in the legal field in 2000 that was draining to my spirit.  After meeting Billy Ray Cyrus who encouraged me to follow my dreams…I did just that!  I started following my dreams by teaching classes and workshops and I also started my online business to reach more women.  My business has evolved since then and so have I.

So, how does one become an Online Entrepreneur?

That’s the million dollar question!

You start by getting still and asking yourself if this is the right path for you.  We all have a lot of fantasies about what we’d like to do, but the reality is many people start things and then quit when the going gets tough.  Running an online business, just like anything, is not easy or simple.  In fact, there are a lot of moving parts like:

• Building a Website/Blog;
• Getting Traffic;
• Keyword Research and SEO;
• Writing Sales Page Copy;
• Writing Blog Posts;
• Developing Programs and Products;
• Writing Sales Letters;
• Learning about Autoresponders, Optin Forms and Squeeze Pages;
• Affiliate programs;
• Collecting money;
• Paying your taxes;
• And MORE!

I’m just trying to be realistic and let you know that if you aren’t computer savvy, if you can’t type or don’t even own a computer, or don’t like to write, or don’t like selling, then owning an online business may not be for you.

However, if you have good computer, typing, writing and research skills and you love working at your computer, then becoming an online entrepreneur may be for you!

I use a lot of photos on my website and on my products of a woman sitting at a beach with the computer.  I do that because running an online business is truly a portable business that you can run from anywhere…including the beach.  Having my online business has given me time and money freedom!  And I want the same for you…

So if you’re serious about becoming an Online Entrepreneur, then these are the steps for you to take:

You really only need 3 things to be seen and get found on the web, and those are:

1. A Domain Name.  The website address that people go to in order to find you.  For example, my domain name is www.becomea6figurewoman.com
2. Web Hosting.  This is required to host your website on the internet so that people can visit it.  I recommend and use Bluehost.  *You can purchase your domain name and hosting at the same company.
3. WordPress.  This is what will help you run your website, this free software will allow you to add, edit and delete pages and posts on your website.  You can easily customize it with a free or paid theme.  You also can customize it with plugins.

I want to point out that there are literally “millions” of Blogs on the Internet, however, my goal is to help you create a Blog that Helps Others and Brings you Income.  It’s that simple.

These are the 6 steps you are going to take to Build a Successful Blog and Online Business:

1. Find out where there is a need in the market and learn how people currently search online for answers to that need. (Do your Keyword Research)
2. Build a Blog/Website that helps people solve their problem and meets their need.
3. Consistently Provide Relevant Content that helps them solve their needs.
4. Drive traffic to your Blog/Website and convince a portion of those visitors to join your email newsletter. (*Covered in my Special Report which you can get at the end of this blog.)
5. Start making money from the audience you build using advertising, affiliate marketing and selling your own products. (*Covered in my Special Report)
6. Automate the entire process so you don’t have to work long hours to keep it going. (*Covered in Special Report).
